EPA, NASA, NOAA Technical WorkshopThe Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) are sponsoring a technical workshop. The workshop will take place on September 14-16, 2004 and be held at the Holiday Inn in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Workshop Goal This workshop will provide an opportunity to share information regarding potential mutual areas of research interest and strategic goals between EPA, NASA, and NOAA. We also intend to identify and prioritize a series of joint projects in which satellite observations could be used to increase understanding of air quality issues. The four main topics of the workshop are: air quality forecasting, air pollution transport, fire emissions impacts on air quality, and applications of landscape characterization.
