The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) are co-sponsoring a conference to mark the 40th anniversary
of the Clean Air Act (and the 20th anniversary of the 1990 Clean Air Act
Amendments).
The event will bring together leaders, past and present, in clean air
and climate from across the country, including Members of Congress,
corporate CEOs, State and Local government officials, and leaders in
public health, business and technology, environmental justice, and
advocacy. They will examine the successes and challenges of the Clean
Air Act over the past four decades and explore the future of air
quality, energy, and climate change.
The conference will include an exhibition to showcase technologies that have led to improved air quality and to present technologies under development to meet future challenges.
The BPC will sponsor a reception following the conference.
Attendance at this event is by invitation. To accommodate broader access to interested parties, the event will be webcast. Please go to http://www.epa.gov/live/ or to http://www.bipartisanpolicy.org/ (where there will be a link to the webcast) to participate on the day of the conference.
