A room block has been reserved (Jan 9th - Jan 14th) at the Staybridge Suites hotel at the government per diem rate of $95 per night (plus applicable taxes) . Although this room rate is guaranteed until January 8, 2012, please make your hotel reservation as early as possible.

If you wish to extend your stay outside of the dates reserved (Jan 9th - Jan 14th) or if you encounter problems, contact Staybridge Suites directly at (+1) (410) 850-5666 Ext: 7005.

To reserve a hotel room via phone, call the Staybridge Suites's reservation desk at (+1) (410) 850-5666 Ext: 7005 and ask for the " US Environmental" group (or USE).

Canceling your reservation before 4:00 PM (local hotel time) on day of arrival will result in no charge. Canceling your reservation after 4:00 PM (local hotel time) on day of arrival, or failing to show, will result in a charge of 1 night per room to your credit card. Taxes may apply. Failing to call or show before check-out time after the first night of a reservation will result in cancellation of the remainder of your reservation.

Hotel Amenities:

The Staybridge Suites hotel offers several amenities, including but not limited to, spacious suites with full kitchens, complimentary Internet access, a 24-hour business center, and a complimentary hot breakfast buffet and evening reception (Tuesday through Thursday from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM).

The Staybridge Suites hotel also provides a complimentary shuttle for guests needing travel to/from the BWI airport, local restaurants and shopping areas within 5 miles of the hotel. For convenience, the Staybridge Suites hotel has offered to provide transportation to/from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) campus (see schedule below), and upon request to/from UMBC. Please note that the hotel's shuttle is limited in the number of passengers it can take per trip. For personal transportation (outside of the proposed shuttle schedule), please contact the Staybridge Suites hotel directly at (+1) (410) 850-5666.

Driving Directions to UMBC (printable pdf. version):

From the North or South, take Interstate 95 to Exit 47B (Route 166/Catonsville) and follow the signs for UMBC (click here for directional map).

From the east (vicinity of BWI Airport), take Interstate 195 W toward Catonsville and follow the signs for UMBC (click here for directional map).

The off-ramp from the highway onto the UMBC campus will turn into UMBC Boulevard.  At the T-intersection of UMBC Boulevard and Hilltop Circle, turn right onto Hilltop Circle (see map below).  Turn left at the 2nd intersection (stop sign) onto Commons Drive. 

Park in the Commons Drive Parking Garage (blue circle on the informational map below). Place a printout of the provided UMBC parking permit (click here) on the front dashboard of your car so it is visible through the windshield.  Use the same permit for both the EPA and NOAA workshops.

After parking in the Commons Drive Garage, walk over to the building where the appropriate workshop will be held to pick up your permit.  The EPA workshop will be held in the Public Policy Building (green circle on informational map below), room 102 (seminar room, 1st floor).  The NOAA workshop will be held in the Physics Building (red circle on informational map below), room 401 (seminar room, 4th floor).  Please note the different locations for the two workshops!
